SHELLAC AFTERCARE ADVICE:

I know you will absolutely LOVE your nails while you are wearing Shellac & I expect your nails to last flawlessly for at least 14 days as long as you give them a little care & attention during that time.

wear gloves to protect your nails if doing tough jobs like household cleaning, gardening, hobbies that are rough or using harsh chemicals
if something you have done has caused a chip or lifted the edge of your Shellac please do not pick or pull the area as this will cause the damage to increase
if you are on holiday please be careful when using suntan oils or insect repellents as many of these products contain solvent oils which will cause major damage to Shellac
some of the delicate Shellac colours can fade somewhat in contact with chlorinated water followed by excessive sun (chlorine is a bleach & sun intensifies the bleaching action) so dry hands & nails after swimming & before sunbathing to minimise colour fading
please use 'solar oil' at least twice a day (especially at night before going to bed) to replace lost moisture to skin & nails - available to buy at your appointment (3.7ml for £3.95) & is made to be used with Shellac
if you wish to temporarily change the colour of your nails whilst wearing Shellac you can use nail enamel over the Shellac but please be sure to use an acetone free remover if removing polish in between appointments
depending on your lifestyle & activity level, your Shellac will need fortnightly/three weekly maintenance as there will be obvious re-growth. At this point your Shellac can be removed & replaced or can be completely removed
Shellac should be removed using a professional remover so as not to damage the surface of your nails

'get your MINX on'

Minx nail fashion is a new and glamorous way for women to extend fashion to their very fingertips. Minx nails have become the latest must have fashion accessory for the celebs, being worn by names such as Victoria Beckham, Christina Aguillara, Rihanna and Beyonce to name but a few.

Minx is a solid film with an adhesive backing that is heat activated. The heat gives Minx the conformability to fit over the compound curve of a nail, and seals the film onto the bed.

n.b. a reasonable length of nail growth is required for application

Care & Removal:

you will find that your Minx will last about 4-8 days on fingers & up to 4 weeks on toes

don't worry about getting your nails wet - Minx is not affected by jacuzzis, swimming pools, bubblebaths or the beach

if your Minx seems to be peeling a bit on the edge before you are ready to remove it, just heat it gently with a blow dryer & firmly press it back down

when you are ready to remove your Minx, simply heat the Minx to soften by dipping fingers into warm water or remove whilst in a warm bath or shower

once warmed simply break the seal between the coating & the side of the nail with an orangewood stick & slowly peel the minx off from side to side (do not peel from the free edge to the cuticle area & vice versa)

we recommend massaging your favourite cuticle oil or cream into your skin & nails to keep them moisturised
